Casuarina Wedding Celebrant

I live in Casuarina. So if you're getting married here, you're getting a celebrant who knows the wind, the parking, the tides, and which café opens early enough to feed your groomsmen on the morning of.

Beach wedding ceremony with sand ritual on the Tweed Coast

Casuarina is one of my favourite places to get married, and not just because I live here. It's because the village manages to feel both contained and uncrowded. You can wake up at one of the Salt Village resorts, walk to the beach for your ceremony, eat dinner that night at Osteria, and never get in a car. Couples love that. Their guests love it even more.

The Tweed Coast Way runs the length of the village, with quiet beach access points the whole way down. The most popular ceremony spots are the council-permitted sections along the Casuarina foreshore and inside Salt Village park, both managed by Tweed Shire Council on a fairly cheap permit. I'll help you pick the right spot and lodge the permit, which is the kind of thing that quietly trips up a lot of couples who get a celebrant from out of town.

"Casuarina is the kind of place where your guests will remember the walk back to their accommodation almost as much as the ceremony."

Where Casuarina weddings happen

For something polished, Osteria Casuarina is the heart of the village and the venue I send most couples to first. For resort weddings, Mantra on Salt Beach and Peppers Salt Resort sit right on the beach in the Salt Village precinct. For something more relaxed and beachfront, Salt Bar and the Casuarina foreshore reserves are both options. Oaks Santai down the southern end of Casuarina has a tropical-Balinese feel if that's the look you want.

I also run legals-only ceremonies right here in the village. Sometimes in my own back garden, sometimes on the beach with two witnesses and your dog. From $550.

If you're planning a bigger event or comparing nearby suburbs, my Tweed Coast wedding celebrant page covers the whole region, including the hinterland options and the venues I love just a few minutes away in Kingscliff and Cabarita.

Quick questions

Yes. Any ceremony on the Casuarina foreshore or inside Salt Village park needs a Tweed Shire Council park-hire permit. The application takes about two weeks and is inexpensive. I'll send you the link, talk you through which beach access point suits your guest count, and confirm wet-weather backup options.

Casuarina is the village stretching south of Cabarita and is a five-minute drive south of Kingscliff. Salt Village is a beachfront resort precinct that technically straddles the Casuarina/Kingscliff boundary, so it gets called both. For ceremony purposes they all sit in the same precinct, with the same council permit system.

No. I live here. There's no travel fee for any wedding inside Casuarina or anywhere on the Tweed Coast.

Absolutely. From two of you plus two witnesses, on the beach, in a backyard, anywhere that means something. About ten minutes total. Full details on my legal-only wedding celebrant page. From $550.
